Birding for the rest of us.

¿Why?

Why am I offering this crazy tour?

I am currently in graduate school working on a master’s in Hispanic Linguistics. My goal is to teach in international and private schools in Europe and other countries. I believe that with this degree I will be (comparatively) easily hired, and payed a reasonable wage. This plan cropped up after I was unable to get Epic Birds to work the first time around. Now I need money! But I have been travelling regardless of it’s success. I live to travel. So after I decided to spend the summer in my country, Chile and Peru it occurred to me to try to promote my at-cost tour thing again.  I do this because:

First, I enjoy birding and meeting fellow birders.

Second, I hope to lessen my costs of birding by sharing the shareable expenses with other birders.

Third, as I have been trying to start a birding tourism outfit, these informal tours will help promote me and make me known in the community.

I also hope to make the idea of low-cost, more environmentally friendly tours popular.

So maybe I’ll get some people to come along, and maybe not. We’ll see. Those who do come, will learn the wonders of birding on a dime and really getting to know the locals.

Sincerely,

Morris Gevirtz
